Hi, I’m melissa.
Registered Physiotherapist, MPT, BScK.
Born and raised in Victoria, Melissa grew up leading an active lifestyle, developing a keen interest in learning about the body and studying movement. After attending the University of Victoria, she worked as a kinesiologist before moving to Scotland and completing her Master’s of Science in Physiotherapy, at Queen Margaret University in Edinburgh. Upon graduating, she worked at Neuromotion Physiotherapy for several years, gaining valuable experience in treating individuals with neurological conditions.
Melissa is a certified Neuro-Developmental Treatment (NDT) therapist and Parkinson’s Wellness Recovery (PWR!) Instructor. She has also taken postgraduate courses in vestibular rehabilitation, facial neuromuscular retraining and concussion management. She takes a patient-centred approach, using individualised exercise, hands-on facilitation and functional retraining to created tailored treatment programs that support meaningful, long-term outcomes. Melissa is passionate about helping clients reach their individual goals, whether that’s returning to daily activities, improving function, or regaining confidence in their movement.
Outside of work, Melissa enjoys spending time outdoors. You’ll often find her hiking, going for walks with her family, or bike rides with her two sons.
