Hi, I’m Marissa.

Registered massage therapist and kinesiologist, BScK.

Marissa was born and raised in Hawaii and moved to Victoria in 2014. She graduated from the West Coast College of Massage Therapy in 2016 and graduated with a BSc in Kinesiology in 2022. During her years in school, she volunteered at MOVE Adapted fitness and found her love for community and helping people move their bodies no matter their ability.

Marissa values teamwork and ensures that each client is active in their treatment and rehabilitation plan. She has spent much of her career working in neurological rehabilitation and has experience teaching balance classes, floor-based breathwork and flow classes, as well as 1-on-1 rehabilitation and strength sessions. While working with clients and recovering from her own concussions she has learned the importance of patience, consistency, and adaptability.

In her practice as an RMT, Marissa aims to help each client relax the body and mind through manual techniques, breathwork, and open communication. Her hope is that every person leaves the treatment feeling heard, supported, and more comfortable in their bodies, while also having tools for healing outside of the treatment room.

Outside of work, Marissa feels at home near the ocean and has always loved all types of movement such as dancing, swimming, climbing, yoga, and any other sport available. She also loves painting, sketching, and reading a good book.
